Multivitamins; Why and Which Ones?

I've always taken a multivitamin, as long as I had it stocked on the cupboard. The way I see it, I'm not eating the recommended number of fruits and vegetables so I doubt I'm getting enough vitamins from my food. So a good multivitamin should be beneficial to one's diet.

When searching for a multivitamin, find one that has close to 100% of the recommended daily allowance for all vitamins and minerals. It's important to note that multivitamins should and can never replace what you get from real foods.

The main brand I buy is the Progressive line of multivitamin called Active Men. Seems to contain a good mix of vitamins and minerals someone that's active/working out. But what do I know, I'm no scientist but it's a brand I trust for the average guy who works out a few times a week.
