Simple Peanut Butter And Jelly Power Up

I started this website to provide simple life tips, hence the name 'Simple Necessities', the important things simplified.

Nothing can be more simpler than a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I'm going to share how I make my PB & J.

I like to use Dempsters Sprouted Grains bread, each slice contains 6 grams of protein, so for those that still consume carbs, I would think it's an okay loaf.

My peanut butter is not Kraft or Skippy which from what I recall, can contain 3 grams of protein but also 3 grams of sugar.  I get my peanut butter from Costco and it's a natural peanut butter. Roasted peanuts and that's all. Not sure if it's organic though, however I can tell you that 2 tablespoons of the stuff contains 8 grams of protein.

As for the jelly, I like to grab a natural jelly or jam with no extra sugar added. We know it's made from fruit and it's going to be full of natural sugars. But for some, adding jelly or jam is an option, you don't HAVE to add it.

So when you add it all up, 2 slices of my Sprouted Wheat bread and 2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter will give a meal of at least 20 grams of protein. That's not bad, and think about how cheap it is!

So if you need to Power Up, think about a high protein peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
