This November marks the 30th anniversary of one of the greatest albums ever produced by a band. Yes, Achtung Baby is 30 years young and it sounds as fresh as it did in 1991.
When Achtung Baby was released, I had a hard time accepting this new redefined version of U2. The U2 I was familiar with was the Joshua Tree and Rattle and Hum U2. Achtung Baby was indeed a rebirth and after a few spins of the CD, I developed a new love for the band and their new music.
Achtung Baby was supported by the highly successful Zoo TV Tour - "the finest in hardware, software and menswear". But that is a post for another day. I personally believe Achtung Baby is U2's greatest work - ever, and it's one of the world's greatest albums ever to be produced.
