Kingswood Music Theatre (Maple, Ontario)
Historic Outdoor Concert Venue at Canada’s Wonderland • 1983–2019
Kingswood Music Theatre was one of the most beloved outdoor concert venues in the Greater Toronto Area, located within Canada’s Wonderland in Maple, Ontario. Operating primarily between the mid-1980s and mid-1990s, Kingswood became synonymous with summer concerts, lawn seating, and unforgettable performances by world-class artists.
The Nederlander Organization was involved in concert promotion at the Kingswood Music Theatre at Canada's Wonderland when the venue first opened in the early 1980s. However, their involvement was reportedly short-lived due to disappointing crowds and noise complaints from local residents.
With a capacity of approximately 15,000 attendees, the amphitheatre hosted a wide spectrum of genres including rock, alternative, pop, metal, and adult contemporary. For many fans, Kingswood was their first major concert experience.
